Noah schnaubelt

poetry + spoken word

Poems are prayers, whispers, wishes and wisdom. Please sit. Close your eyes and listen. Let the birds in your chest take flight...

Sometimes

when I’m feeling strong enough

I am able to remember

that pain has a reason and is worth it.

That we break down in order to build out

fall to learn how to fly

that hurting is such a vital part of life

through which we open the capacity

to feel even more deeply what is light

A Life of Prayer & Song is a collection of poems to be savored in layers.

Beneath these stanzas is a secret order, a map that can lead us into the rawness of our hearts. Noah Schnaubelt offers us his deepest yearnings by way of his unique organization of words and images, connecting psyche and soma; he crafts for us a bridge by which we, too, may turn pain into beauty. This volume of poetry can meet you where you are in your present journey because it is both timeless and prescient in a world of forgotten Soul. Luminous and aching, A Life of Prayer & Song asks more of you than a read-through; it wants to live in your eyes and ears to transform your experience of life.

Noah shows, full of "Alive Poetry" are far more than just a reading. His performances are soul-filled poems in vital, fluid motion. They are offerings, spoken-word spells given with a deliberate cadence of depth and love. They are meditations on authenticity, vulnerability and our powers to heal.

Woven from many scraps, Noah is half hippie, rocker, country boy, geek, yogi, toddler, puppy. Full poet, all heart, hopeful romantic, he seeks to reach deep through collective human experience to offer raw truth and a wellspring of love. His poems are prayers, whispers, wishes and wisdom. Please sit. Close your eyes and listen. Let the birds in your chest take flight...
