About noah

Prince of Hearts

Welcome Friends. It’s great to have you. I hope my words or performances have offered you some grace, or that they soon will. I’ve been writing a long time— Mama still has cute little poems from my early childhood daze about the rain and snow and sunshine…My how things have bloomed since then. I suppose the greatest step was discovering the Eugene Poetry Slam in college, around 2004. Instantly I felt the deepest resonance with Slam style— raw, authentic, deep, unashamed, fierce and outspoken. I learned so much through years at the slam- courage to share wild vulnerability, the power of public speaking; loud, present and true. I honed both writing and peformance skills as I learned to witness and offer the deepest levels of a human heart and life experience.

I joined the Eugene Poetry Slam Team for 2009 and performed at the Oregon Country Fair. After to San Francisco in 2011, I’ve returned as the Eugene feature poet, have performed at weddings, yoga classes and private events all over. I’ve had my work featured on large scale 8’ walls at Burning Man as part of the Afterlife Project both in 2022 and 2025, and given a string of sold out shows celebrating the release of my first book A Life of Prayer & Song in december 2024.

I discovered yoga around the same time, freshman year of college. and this system of movements and wisdom to nourish our lives has been with me ever since. Over two decades of practice later, and recently completing 500hrs of teacher training, my life continues to be saved and shaped by the depth of what yoga has to offer. It’s influence is seen and felt in so much of my writing, alongside that continued childhood love for all things in this wondrous natural world. It’s my greatest gift to offer these poems in this life, and see just how deeply they are felt time and time again.
